I called West Coast A/C & Heating for a 2nd opinion. Was so impressed with Ryan's thorough research and troubleshooting of our old A/C unit, I decided to chose West Coast to install a new system. Ryan originally came out on a Friday & by Monday we had that new system, manufacturer-warrantied for 10 years under Lennox and 1 year for workmanship issues from Ryan. I moved forward with creating a new maintenance agreement, as well, and look forward to many great years of excellent service!

Ryan is honest, fast, and great at his job. Our air handler is 12 years old, the blower fan rusted and fell apart and he was able to source a new one and replaced it quickly for a fair price. The AC has never been this quiet and cold. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do our AC work in the future.

I called earlier this morning to request service to AC unit that was leaking water inside the house and Mr. Ryan came the same day that I called in the time frame he said he would be there. Ryan is amazing!! Not only did he show up for us twice post Hurricane Helene to fix our unit that had been flooded, but he came back to replace and elevate it within the FEMA standards. He’s both timely and efficient and keeps a very clean workspace. Every time I have called him, he has either picked up the phone or returned a phone call within an hour. He recently came back and added an additional duct in one of our bedrooms that made a huge difference in the temperature of the house. Ryan’s the man for all your HVAC needs! He’s always responded promptly when we called and is very easy to communicate with. He was able to schedule next day to have our AC checked out in the morning. It was nice that he had called ahead when his ETA would be. West Florida Air Conditioning and Heating was actually the second opinion and we ended up choosing them over the other company we first had initially contacted because they tried to upsell us a whole new unit that we found out wasn’t necessary due to Ryan’s expertise and honesty. The other company would have charged us some few thousand and they took an hour to look at it, but nothing was fixed at all. So we sat without AC for a few months until we found West Florida’s ad in a monthly local newspaper and best decision we made cuz he took care of us in half an hour and fixed the AC issue right then and there, AND didn’t charge us but a few hundred dollars. Definitely recommend West Florida for the Nature Coast area as they will give fair pricing for work done and get you cooling off in no time! Ryan is amazing! First, let me start by saying, its been a year since install.. I wait to write reviews, in case anything comes up that could provide further insight. I didn't end up needing to wait, in this case, because the heat pump and air handler have been working perfectly. My old Trane died unexpectedly (it was a champ for over 20 years) in May 2023. A family member referred Ryan, who was transitioning into running his own business. I called him up, he came over to the house within a couple hours, and quickly diagnosed my Trane to be beyond saving (and thoroughly explained why). Ryan guided me through a plethora of options. He didn't push or upsell anything. He was very patient with me while I inquired about pros versus cons and overall value. Before he left, he stressed that if I had any questions to call him and he'd be happy to provide any additional information I might need. Just want to say here, the guy is immediately likeable. He is professional, yet can still have a sense of humor at the right times, and there's an air of humbleness about him. He's just a really good guy. Later, Ryan emailed some quotes on a couple different brands and their various tiers. I decided on a mid- range Lennox heat pump, with an upgraded air handler, that he had recently installed in his mother's house (if its good enough for an experienced a/c tech's mom, its good enough for me). The install wasn't exactly straight forward, as the new units had different dimensions than the old. But, Ryan did a great job setting everything up and making sure it all fit appropriately. Anytime I peeked over his shoulder to ask questions, he explained the equipment used or the functionality of whatever I inquired about, to an impressive degree. The guy is passionate about his work and a walking HVAC encyclopedia. I'm rambling. Bottom line, if you're looking for an honest, hard working, knowledgeable A/C guy.. He's your man. I've already recommended him to a coworker and he installed their unit. I keep his cards around. Btw, I never recommended my previous techs to anyone. I trust this guy. BTW, my electricity bill has gone down about 1/4th to 1/5th consistently every month, for the past year.

Ryan and Nick installed a new Lennox 3 ton a/c in my home and did a fantastic job. Ryan came out and assessed the old unit and provided a timely quote for replacement since my unit was already 16 years old. He communicated often while he arranged pickup of my unit at his warehouse. On install day, he kept me informed with constant updates and walked me through the thermostat setup with the wireless options I can control through my phone. Very pleased with his service.

Had 2 different companies quote me work for 2 different issues for my A/C. Ryan came out and climbed through the hot attic so he could determine what the actual problem was. He came back a few days later with the materials to repair the ductwork at minimal cost compared to the other over inflated quotes I got. My husband and I were experiencing issues with our Goodman AC unit and decided to have it checked out. We contacted West Florida Air Conditioning & Heating and spoke with the owner Ryan Ferguson. Ryan scheduled a date and time that he could inspect our AC unit. In less than a week, Ryan showed-up as scheduled (On Time), inspected our AC unit, and quickly diagnosed the issue (leaking Coil). Ryan ran a check on the AC serial numbers and advised that the part that needed to be replaced was covered under warranty. Ryan ordered the part and advised that he would call back upon receipt of the part and schedule an install date / time. In less than a week, I received a call from Ryan advising me that the part had arrived, and we coordinated a date / time for installation. Once again, Ryan showed-up on time and went right to work. Ryan removed the old coil and installed the new one without incident. Ryan was professional, punctual, honest, courteous, and knowledgeable. Those characteristics are hard to find these days. Ryan was able to get our AC unit running at 100%. My husband and I are so pleased with West Florida Air Conditioning & Heating, and we highly recommend this company to our friends, family, and anyone looking for a professional, punctual, honest, courteous, and knowledgeable AC Company. We’ve have been having trouble with our newly installed Daikin Fit top of the line, air conditioning unit since installation 2 years ago on 2/5/2022. The unit needed a blower motor replacement after the first year! There were so many error messages it was crazy. The other company was out multiple times to work on the unit, but the errors continued. Then they told us we needed all new duct work for an additional $16,000. They did install some extra returns but that hasn’t fixed the problem. I saw the techs from West Florida AC at my neighbors installing a new Lennox unit. After 2 years of service calls from the other company, I checked with my neighbor who was very pleased with West Florida AC. I asked the guys if they would take a look at our unit after we returned from vacation. That was mid December. The day we left for the holidays our unit stopped heating, it was freezing in here. When we came back it was working, but had several more error codes, then stopped heating a second time. Our maintenance contract was going to expire in a week from the other company, so I called Ryan, and he came out that same afternoon! He was able to diagnose the problems, checked with the manufacturer to ensure the readings were within specified limits (they had been running way too high), plus he changed the slope of the drain which has been backing up water into the unit. That’s been happening several times a year. & we asked repeatedly to have that fixed since the unit was installed. They never came back to do it. Ryan Ferguson is an excellent air conditioning specialist. He goes above and beyond to make sure your unit will function at its best. If there’s an issue, he is honest and doesn’t overcharge. Call him to set up your annual maintenance before you run into problems! Ryan found the issue was the wiring from the outside unit which connects to the air handler and thermostat, HE FOUND THE ISSUE AND FIXED IT. Thank you Ryan for everything. The next time we need a new unit you will be THE ONE installing it!!! We had another service call for a unit error late on 8/1/24, so I contacted Ryan and he came within 4 hours. Ryan was hired by my landlord to come fix the AC we have been having trouble with for a few months now. He arrived at 7:00 PM and stayed until nearly 11:30 at night working, replacing parts, testing wiring, and making sure he got it done right. He even had to access the roof of the building and go back and forth to test many times when the fuses blew but he never gave up. He was polite, professional, and dedicated to getting us cooled off before he would go home for the night. Days later and everything is still working perfectly--he even texted the next morning to make sure the system had worked overnight with no issues. 100/10 would recommend!

Called West Florida A/C about giving our unit a once over and he determined that the air handler fan was extremely dirty. He pulled the fan assembly and scrubbed the unit to like new condition. Additionally he cleaned the drain line and replaced the filter. This resulted in lowering the humidity 20%. He is very conscientious and the difference this made is unbelievable with the unit overall. I would not hesitate to refer West Florida Air Conditional & Heating to anyone in need.
